Green Monk plays the music of Thelonious Monk with Peplin's Grant Green inspired guitar sound. The line-up on this record is a dream team of Milwaukee Chicago Boston circles. Weller, Drobka and Peplin are all Berklee alumni, while Breiwick veritably runs Milwaukee's jazz scene. This was Clay Schaub's first gig in Milwaukee, as he hailed from Denver as a first call bassist.
